"A business is as strong as the community it supports" - said 7 years ago Saša Popović, one of the founders of Vega IT.
Vega IT was founded in 2008 on the basis of the idea that serving the perfect solution is an attainable goal. Vega IT's vision is that, in 10 years' time, Serbia will be a synonym for a country that provides top quality IT solutions.
Why is it so important that every business invests in (tech) communities?

The community and businesses in the community depend on each other for healthy co-existence. Raising the standard of living for those in our society provides a higher purpose to our daily work.
A few years ago Vega IT decided to support a few colleagues to organize the first meetup event for local Designers and Front End Developers, today known as the DaFED Association. That was the first Vega IT's step to supporting the community.
This was followed by a lot of other events supported by Vega IT such as TARABICA # IT CONFERENCE BELGRADE, KONTEH, Drupal Camp Serbia and many more.

At the beginning of the year 2015, Vega IT's founders, with a few colleagues, founded Geekstone, a non-profit organization dedicated to gathering developers with an aim to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas related to programming. Moreover, Geekstone is a place for networking and socializing.
"At the Coding Serbia conference we saw people with similar principles and ideas as ours so that's why we decided to support this event", said one of the Vega IT partners, Vladan Ostojić. We believe that direct action is the best way to encourage improvement, and hope that we can serve as role-models for others in our industry.
